Hey everyone! A couple of weeks ago we headed to the Bulgarian Black Sea coast for a long-waited summer vacation and I managed to take some photos while packing. I had completely forgotten about those photos until today, but better late than never. I am not the most organized person in the world and holiday packing usually looks like post-apocalyptic chaos at home. This time though I managed to plan ahead and even spared some time to take photos of my holiday essentials!
Let’s take a look at the things I packed for my beach vacation:
I bought three different sets of swimwear just a day before we left off for the beach (told you how organized I was). The two sets in the below photos are from Skiny and I absolutely adore them! After trying both bikini sets on I had decided to go with the black and white one. I loved its retro vibe and sleek and stylish cut. However, before I had managed to change into my normal clothes I heard Nasko (my BF) saying to the cashier “We are taking both”! It was a lovely present and now I am happy I ended up with both sets. By the way, the blue one is made of recycled polyamide. Stylish, sporty and eco!
I also bough a third set with red and white retro stripes. I promise to post an outfit photo wearing this one soon on my Instagram feed 🙂
I tried to match the bikini sets with different styles of beach shoes. The checkered one I matched with ash pink cute espadrilles and for the blue one I took my comfy white “Birkenstock Style” sandals. Do you like these two beach combinations?
This time I didn’t pack all my closet but instead tried to plan the exact outfits I would be wearing. I took a number of separates which mainly consisted of white tops and denim bottoms. Easy to match and this is one of my favorite color combinations, so I knew I would feel comfy!
You simply can’t go to a beach vacation without a couple of light summer dresses. I packed a few as they are easy to wear and don’t take up much space. The white one is a frilled cute beach dress from H&M and the one in brick red is from Only.
I don’t wear much make up on vacations or even on a daily basis, just some eyeliner and mascara. However, when you spend your days at the beach and your late nights out for cocktails, your skin might start crying for help. This is why I took these hydrating, repairing and detoxifying beauty products:
- La Roche-Posay Hydraphase UV Intense Legere SPF20
- Filorga Oxygen Glow Eye Cream
- Institut Esthederm Derm Repair Serum
Does an outfit matter at all if it is not accompanied by a matching fragrance? For my beach vacation I took my all time favorite summer fragrance- Cacharel Noa. Soft, weightless and feminine like a gentle whisper, for me a summer fragrance can’t get any more better than this one. I also took with me my favorite charmed pearl bracelet to match the tenderness of this pearly fragrance!
I already mentioned my horrible chaotic packing skills (or lack of). I always pack too many things that I don’t need and end up not wearing at all. This time though I made a list of the full outfits I was planning to wear and split the list into beach and evening outfits. I will stick to this holiday packing approach from now on because, first, I loved how everything I needed was packed neatly in a single suitcase, and, second, you don’t waste time to decide what to wear each day while on vacation as all outfits were planned ahead.
This is all from me for today, loves! Have a lovely week ahead!
With love, Maggie
